THE ORIGINS OF DR. SCHOLL’S
Scholl's was founded by William Mathias Scholl in the early 1900s after he began creating products designed to improve foot comfort and support. In 1904, Dr. Scholl introduced one of his earliest inventions, the “Foot-Eazer” arch support, which helped relieve foot pain and improve posture. Over the following decades, the company expanded into orthopedic shoes, insoles, bunion treatments, and cushioned foot pads, making specialized foot care products more accessible to everyday consumers.
THE BRAND THAT PUT
COMFORT FIRST
During the mid-20th century, Dr. Scholl’s became widely recognized for products such as wooden exercise sandals introduced in the 1960s, medicated corn removers, and gel insoles designed for work and athletic use. The brand helped popularize the idea that proper footwear and foot support were important parts of overall health and comfort. Today, Dr. Scholl’s remains one of the most recognizable names in foot care and comfort products worldwide.
