PULL A STICK.
HOLD YOUR BREATH.
Ker-Plunk was created by Eddy Goldfarb, along with Rene Soriano and was brought to market by The Ideal Toy Company. The original release sold for $4.00-$5.00 and although the original sale numbers are not public, there have been over a million sales worldwide. Popular for its simple and easy-to-understand rules, players take turns removing colored plastic sticks from a clear vertical tube, trying to prevent the marbles inside from falling.
A GAME BUILT TO LAST.
Ker-Plunk has changed ownership several times throughout its history. When the Ideal Toy Company was unable to keep up with rising production and marketing costs, they sold the game to CBS Toys. After CBS exited the toy market in 1987, following several years of ownership, the rights were transferred to the View-Master Ideal Group. The game was later acquired by Mattel in the United States and Hasbro in the United Kingdom, where it continues to be included in their classic game collections.
